I wonder what she's dreaming...

Busy day Busy day at work  Tuesdays are so long, I work over 13 hours and when I get home Scott has the girls safely tucked into bed sleeping.  Tonight when I came home, I found Carlea was not alone in her bed....  I wonder what she's dreaming about?!

Acting out!

I had to work today so I missed out on all the fun at home today.  However, I met with many of the leaders of the Cornell Class of 2011 at our annual Leadership Reception and am totally inspired by the amazing things that Cornell Students do.  I'm really blessed to work with such amazing students!

So at home, Scott and the kids were able to do all the fun weekend stuff that we all look forward to-- Scott got out all the Playhut stuff and created a small town complete with tunnels in our living room.  Then they played dress up and put on a show.  Carlea and Maysie take turns acting and dancing and singing.  The audience is so big, that they now require stadium seating.  (complete with popcorn for the show) -- How I miss those times!

I guess there's always next weekend!

Feeding the geese or honkers as Maysie likes to say...

Another busy Saturday in the Davis household.  After gymnastics this morning, we bought a loaf of bread to feed to the geese.  The girls enjoyed it, although it was kindof scary to have these geese come right up and snatch the bread from your hands.  I was almost sure that they might snatch a finger, but we made it out of  there intact. (double click the photos to really understand Carlea's fear)   Then after lunch, Carlea and I went to see the Dryden High School play - The Wizard of Oz.  It was FANTASTIC!!!!  Carlea loved it and she insisted that we go meet the Wicked Witch of the West.  She told the witch that she was her favorite character and then she gave her a hug!!!  I'm not sure what to make of it, but the witch was pleased.  Then we all got on our pajamas and headed out to Borders for a PJ party only to find I had written it in my calendar for the wrong date-  it was yesterday.  Bummed, we finished out the day at Friendly's.  Another busy Saturday.  Whew, I need a day off!

ok, i'll try it... 5 Question Friday 5QF

A friend of mine participates in the 5 Question Friday blog linkathing amigiggy thing....so I'm game, I'll try it.  It's from Mama M's blog; My Little Life.

Here goes-- and try it -- link up too!

1. How much time do you spend on the computer a day?
I spend a lot of time on the computer.  I know this because Carlea says that the computer chair is my "Mommy's Chair."  And of course at least 80% of my daily work is at the computer.

2. Will you pay for your children's college or raise them to pay for their own way?
Not sure about this one.  Both Scott and I had our parents' help but we also had many many jobs during college to help.   I think it'll be a combination.

3. Have you ever been in a car accident?
Yes, I've been in a few.  Most recently over thanksgiving break, I was driving my nephew back to Bucknell and  (This is classic Jenn) I was telling him what a great driver I was.  To emphasize my point I looked over to him to look him in the eye to prove I was being honest and I hit the person in front of me.  Nice, I don't think I will ever live it down. Classic Jenn!

4. What is your favorite book?
I have A LOT of favorite books.  I guess my all time favorite is Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein.  I love reading that to my kids and they never tire of the silly poems.  Others: Into Thin Air, Into the Wild, Harry  Potter, Dr. Suess,  and many many others... I read (for recreation) every day, it's one thing that relaxes me.

5. Do you make your bed everyday?
No, I never make the bed.  Luckily, Scott does though, every day.  He's a good husband!

Not so bad-- now link up your answers too!  Have a good weekend!

Recent photos

Here's a couple of recent photos that we had taken of the girls.  They are growing up so fast!

Tonight it was finally warm enough to take a walk outside with the family.  The girls loved just relaxing outside.  We met Scott at the bus stop and you really can't beat two little girls jumping up and down waiting for their Daddy.  When Scott got off the bus they ran to him and gave him big hugs and Maysie shouted, "Daddy I'm soooo glad you're home!"  It was really cute!  When it was time to go in, maysie told us she just wanted to sit on the porch and watch the cars go by.  Good times to remember.  They grow up so fast!

God gets all the credit

At church on Sunday we had the pleasure of having our Bishop attend mass.  I told Carlea that she needed to behave, sit still and be quiet because this was Father Scott's "boss".  Her eyes got real wide and she said:  "That's his boss????  Is that GOD?  I thought God was Father Scott's boss!!"  She had a great time singing for him and enjoyed meeting him too!  Thanks for the picture Lacy!

The other day Carlea did something so cute and I asked her where she got so smart...and she replied that "Its a gift from God, Mom!"  So then I asked her where she gets her moods when she's cranky and grumpy and she replied: "I get that from you Mom!"   God gets all the credit!
