We got a new car!
And I mean NEW car.
I haven't had a new car since before I was married. We took advantage of the 0% financing by Dodge in June and finalized our new car yesterday. Dodge Grand Caravan with a great entertainment package and all the frills. So today I drove around a bit-- hit the 200 mile mark -- while the kids enjoyed the DVD package. This car has a back-up camera- I tried it and ended up in the lawn instead of the garage, so I have a little bit of practice to do. It has a 30 gig hard drive. It will play a slide show of all your jpegs or play all of your MP3's. Has Satellite Radio and a ton of other very neat features. Your read it right-- 191 miles.
NICE
We also went to the fireworks display tonight that were hosted at TC3. We went to the high school and had a nice time. The kids enjoyed themselves and the fireworks were pretty good. Scott got there first and then I came with the kids later. He made a donation for all of us so when I got there they just waved me in. I did not know any of the 3 working the entrance so I rolled down my window to let them know that Scott paid but before I could talk they said-- Go through, we know who you are.
really?
It's strange to think people recognize me but I don't recognize them. So I spent the next 30 minutes racking my brain for how I knew these people. I hate it when that happens.
I start with most recent stuff
Cornell?
School Board?
Carlea's School?
Maysie's School?
Scott's friends?
Neighbors?
Church people?
Then I go a little further out
SIG people?
Old jobs?
working out at TC3?
people who work in local restaurants?
I don't know.
I feel bad because if they know me I should probably know them. Oh well, It'll bother me for a while and then when I least expect, it'll pop into my head how I know them. Hope whatever interaction I had with them was a pleasant one. I'd hate to be remembered as a grouch!
Scott's parents are arriving this weekend and I'm off to clean the house!!!
